 5. Brough Bay Association
David Glass delivered an interesting presentation on works proposed around the Brough bay area. These included repairs to the slipway, sea wall armour, boat park, and retaining wall as well as some conservation work to the winch, lighthouse loading platform and long loch well. They also planned to establish an archive of material related to the pier. The group had begun a tendering process to find a suitable contract and was putting a funding package together. The community council was pleased to hear about the project which would restore and protect a valuable asset in the community.
Action Secretary to write a letter of support to the Brough Bay Association.
 6. Dunnet Head fire
The recent fire at Dunnet Head had damaged a large area of heath land. Fire crews had been assisted by local volunteers but there was a shortage of beaters for people to use. Mary Legg kept some for the Dunnet forest at the Seadrift centre which could be used if a similar incident occurred in the future
Action Chris Hobson would look at the possibility of storing some beaters in the village
 7. Dunnet Beach
The beach clean had been completed in one day instead of two. The contractor had done a good job and a further one day clean would be organised later in the year if funds allowed. The application for funding to the Dounreay communities fund was still pending.
Action Mary Legg to forward photographs for a press release.
